LIFESTYLE DECIDES DIABETES RISK
According to the data collected from over 200,000 Americans without diabetes in 1995 to 1996, around 10% of male subjects and 7% of female subjects developed diabetes in ten years. Researchers said that adequate weight, proper diet and sufficient exercise can greatly lower the risk of diabetes.
What's worth noticing is that the finding is also true for people who have a family history of diabetes. Researchers also add that healthy BMI defined in the study is 25, and overall, normal-weight people who have a healthy lifestyle were 72 to 84 percent less likely to get diabetes.
