SURRENDER OR FIGHT IS ON?
While the rebels of Libya are still in search of the fugitive leader, Muammar Gaddafi, they have given an ultimatum to the remaining pro-Gaddafi forces, announcing a Saturday deadline for them to either "surrender peacefully or face fierce military battles.
According to a rebel military commander, around 50-thousand people, both civilians and combatants, have lost their lives in Libya's six-month war, in an attempt to overthrow Gaddafi, who has ruled the nation for the past 42 years. With Gaddafi's family members reported to have fled to Algeria, the anti-government group is also planning to ask Algeria to extradite them back to Libya.
