COOKOUT TO PROMOTE FAMILY GATHERING
The National Alliance of Parents Organization held a family cookout this past weekend, for the International Day of Families that is celebrated on May 15th every year. The "Putting Love on the Table" event was carried out in 5 different cities across the island, to portray the significance of spending quality time with family members.
For Mrs. Pan, she can only think of rice dumplings when she spoke of passed on family recipes.
She couldn't help but shed tears when she spoke of making rice dumplings with her mother and grandmother.
She hopes to pass this recipe to her daughter and continue the good family memories.
The distance between family members seem to get closer as they cook and eat together.
Each family recipe's seems to have its own story and memories. The National Alliance of Parents Organization and Parents Love Organization chose International Family Day to promote family cooking, hoping to let kids feel their parents' love and to strengthen family education.
