HONORING MOTHERS FOR THEIR DEDICATION
A national award ceremony has been held to honor the mothers of children who suffer from hearing loss.
Today, the strong individuals are sharing their stories of faith and courage in overcoming the hardship.
Here on CTS, let's hear from these amazing people, who are fighting every single day and are not bowing down in any way.
Looking at her children happily, Chen Mei-lin feels so fortunate.
She's teaching her daughter how to say the names of fruits.
Both of her children are wearing hearing aids.
Her daughter was born prematurely and suffered from hearing loss and intellectual disability.
At the meantime, her three-year-old son was found to have moderately hearing problems.
She almost lost the courage to live. But now she is leading a positive life, taking her children to receive early treatment.
Now, her son looks healthy and happy, singing and dancing on stage. It is a touching moment for mothers in the audience, because it could take months or years for these kids to pronounce a word correctly, because they live in a silent world.
Ms. Wei didn't give up on her six-year-old son who came down with microtia.
Now he's able to communicate with others.
Thanks to these mothers, who never give up on their kids, these children with hearing impairment are able to enjoy their lives with positive look and view.
