NO GUARANTEES?
You may now want to think twice before purchasing restaurant vouchers on the Internet, because your money saving scheme may actually backfire. According to the Consumers' Foundation, many of the coupons provide no guarantees, in other words, you are not really getting what you're paying for.
Though easy to purchase and cheap to use, miss Yeh is still worried that the discount vouchers she purchased may not be guaranteed for use.
Others fearing the same went online to check the consumers foundation website to find that, 10 out of the 16 sellers of those coupons do not have any guarantees of sales on them,
which is 63%, and once those companies go under, the consumers with the unused coupons are stuck with them like useless waste.
In addition, 15 of the 16 sellers didn't explain how they would treat the situation should the consumers lose the coupons, while 5 of them had fine printings that the pictures of the food items were just for reference only and meals served at restaurants may vary.
The Consumers' Foundation suggests that, related governmental agencies should supervise over the popular online product and the sellers unreasonable limitation on sales to prevent future disputes.
