FEED THE CHILDREN IN NEED
Legislator Chang Jia-chun has been involved in the "fish-giving" charity program since 2008, which benefits the underprivileged children around the island. Raising over 60,000 fish to feed the disadvantaged ones this year, he is now encouraging more people to take part in contributing to the proper growth of these children.
These children are given boxes of fresh fish and they bring them to the refrigerator in the kitchen.
This aunty immediately takes this fish and cooks it for these children to eat.
Many children in remote areas have no opportunity to eat fish, as the Legislator Chang Chia-chun launched this charitable activity to benefit these kids.
Legislator Chang said that this charity started in 2008, and this year has raised over 60,000 fish, which has been distributed to low-income families throughout northern, central, and southern Taiwan.
Children at a nursery in Siluo's Hsinyi Orphanage after eating this fish, asked when they can eat it again.
Eating fish enhances children's intelligence, which is important for these children at the orphanage who have no family or parental care.
It is hoped that this program will help these children, so they do not stumble at this important starting point in life.
