MALAYSIA GIVES TW VISA-FREE STATUS
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently announced that Malaysia has decided to grant visa-free treatment for ROC citizens, meaning the number of nations offering Taiwan such a privilege has officially reached 100. And Taiwanese travelers are estimated to save a collective 50 million NT dollars a year in visa fees for their future trips to Malaysia.
Following Singapore, Malaysia becomes the second country in South East Asia to grant Taiwan visa-waiver privileges, making itself the 100th country to offer Taiwan such treatment.
The visa application costs 240 NTD per person.
The country will save 50 million NTD a year and Taiwanese passport holders can leave for the country anytime.
From now on, Taiwanese nationals can enter Malaysia visa-free for a stay of up to 15 days.
To do so, travelers must produce Taiwan passports with validity of more than six months.
This measure saves a lot of time and money for those who wish to travel to Malaysia.
