Following the controversy of Taekwondo athlete Yang Shu-chun's disqualification at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, which led to her being banned from competition for three months, the Taiwanese star is now back in the game.

Yang has successfully won the qualification to the training program for the 2012 London Olympics and will be battling in the World Taekwondo Championship in May.

This was the first time Yang Shu-chun attended a competition after she was disqualified during a match at the Asian Games in Guangzhou.

She was in a match with Lee Hsin-hua of National Taiwan College of Physical Education.

Yang successfully got the qualification to be the national athlete and is going to represent Taiwan in the World Taekwondo Championship in May.

In the second match, she won the victory over Oo Hsuan-wen of National Taiwan Sport University.

Almost lost in the third match to Liao Wei-jun, who's equally experienced and skillful, Yang won the extended game with an upper blow.

Yang's coach Liu Tsung-ta said that Yang has been training for less than two weeks and is now in the adjustment period. Afterwards, she will begin the training for national athletes. Last year's gold medalist in the Asian Games Wei Cheng-yang also got the qualification of national athlete and is going to represent Taiwan in the World Taekwondo Championship in May.

Huang Hsien-yung, who also won the gold medal in the Asian Games last year, didn't win the spot for promotion and only hopes for a chance to be recruited by the national athlete team.
