To fight for the justice that she deserves, the Sports Affairs Council is planning to appeal Taiwanese taekwondo athlete Yan Shu-chun's case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. With the SAC still unsure which location to file the suit, the DPP legislators are criticizing the council of failing to act promptly to the situation.

Nearly two weeks have passed since Yang Shu-chun's controversial disqualification at the Guangzhou Asian Games, and Sports Affairs Council Minister Tai Hsia-ling says that the SAC is in the midst of appealing Yang's case to an international arbitration body.

Although the court is not expected to return a verdict for at least three months, opposition legislators are accusing the SAC of dragging its feet.

The attorneys overseeing the case say that they will finish collecting evidence by December 10th, but it remains unclear where the suit will actually be filed.

Under attack from DPP lawmakers, the normally mild-mannered Tai defended the SAC, saying that it is doing everything it can, and has done so in a timely manner.
