TAIPEI'S FIRST FOOT SPA RESORT
Taipei City government has opened the first free outdoor foot hot spring in Beitou District, which is located right across from Taipei Municipal Yifang Elementary School. Here on CTS, let's have a look.
Taipei's first foot spa has officially opened in Beitou County.
People are excited about the opportunity to soak their feet in warm baths in this cold winter.
Foot spas are relaxing but there is a rule requiring patrons to wash their feet before they step into the foot bath.
The rectangular foot bath pool is situated in the Chuan Yuan Park across from Yi Fang Elementary School and next to the Chung Cheng mountain path.
After observing the rich natural spa resources in the area, the Taipei City government decided to set up a foot spa that capitalizes on the green sulfuric spring.
During the grand opening, the spa opens from 8am to 6pm but will be closed on special holidays.
Taipei City Mayor Hau Lung-pin says more tests will be conducted to see if the spa is safe enough to open for longer hours for the enjoyment of the public.
