The First Dance
For the first time ever, Taipei's Jianguo High School and Taipei First Girl's High School, have co-organized a prom in celebrating the birthdays of both schools that are over 100 years-old. Thousand of students are finally able to cross the fences to rock along to the night of music together.
The students turned the basketball courts into a concert stage to celebrate the school's birthday.
The principals of Jianguo High School and Taipei First Girl's High School wore their school uniform and ballroom danced on stage to kick off the event.
The students that performed and attended the event were all students from the two high schools.
The string of rock music showcased the students' lively spirit. Jianguo High School and Taipei First Girl's High School both are over 100 years old.
This is the first time they held a school celebration dance together.
Not only were the students excited, the principals from the two schools both agreed that this event would be a different memory for their students.
With over 100 years of history and the separation of boys and girls schools, the 112 year-old Jianguo High School and 107 year-old Taipei First Girl's High School both seemed young tonight.
