SEMICONDUCTOR EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY NOW
A semiconductor technology exhibition is currently on display at the National Taiwan Science Education Center in Taipei. Through interactive exhibitions, children get to learn about the advanced technology that is widely used in our daily life, as well as a semiconductor manufacturing equipment that is worth 46 million NT dollars.
After this 6-inch wafer manufacturing equipment was retired, it was acquired by the Smithsonian Institution.
It is currently on exhibit at the National Taiwan Science Education Center as part of a semiconductor technology exhibition.
Semiconductors are omnipresent in daily life, and the exhibition is aimed at helping local students gain a deeper under
A 0.001-centimeter thick piece of paper is folded 26 times; its resulting height surpasses that of Taipei 101. Semiconductor technology has taken leaps forward over the past three decades.
Production capability doubles every 12 to 18 months, while manufacturing costs stay the same.
The development of the industry has led to the rise of the information technology sector, and semiconductors remain the driving force of Taiwan's economy.
