An award-winning strawberry farmer in Miaoli recently took his career to a new high by acquiring Taiwan's first ISO 22000 food safety certification, setting a great example for the domestic agricultural industry.

Although the weather is wet and cold outside, Fan Shu-lung is is following a daily routine of work in the fields, sorting and weeding with his hands.

He is also recording the daily management of this strawberry field in a book as he seeks future improvement.

He has elevated the quality of production and this year, successfully applied to become the first strawberry grower to receive ISO22000 food safety certification.

The accreditation system drew more and more attention together with the traceable certification system.

These farmers are working hard and marketing to people as well as they hope that the government's promotion of a consumer protection certification system will also bring more attention to farmers.
