Young Tw Inventors
Several elementary students in Kaohsiung have applied their problem-solving skills on designing useful inventions to make life easier and more convenient. Their innovations have also received recognition at the 2010 International Exhibition for Young Inventors, and their products may hit shelves in the near future.
The pair of black shoes looks plain and ordinary.
But it actually has four safety devices installed inside, including lights, a compass and a reflective safety strip.
When emergency happens, instant alarm sound would go off.
The idea has won the Gold Medal in the World Youth Invention Expo in Honoi of Vietnam recently, an exciting news for the three elementary school girls who invented the gadget together.
Another item that beat 200 competitors in the game and won the Platinum award is the flexible poster holder.
Three sixth graders renovate a tripod and make the multi-functional poster holder.
To accommodate different environment, nails are fixed at the bottom of the holder.
A patent application has already been filed to Ministry of Economic Affairs and it may be mass produced in the future.
