Spreading the Positive Message
A group of high school students is contributing to the society by doing something that is indeed meaningful. These young volunteers use their spare time to maintain and to protect the environment, in an attempt to bring awareness to the public about the importance of nature conservation.
These volunteers, age 16 to 18, are from the National Youth Council.
Unlike most high school students who spend their after-school hours going to the movies or hanging out with friends,
this bunch is devoted into making the world a better place by going into nature, observing its changes, and protecting it with their knowledge.
Other than tree planting, they would also go to the riverbanks to check on its water quality, or play games with the elementary school students so that they can get in touch with nature and learn how to protect it too.
These young volunteers are making a change with their action and passion for this earth; moreover, spreading their love and affecting others to join them.
One of the newer members is Huang Wei-ming, who just turned 16 and was brought into this group by his elder brother.
Many others like him are also filled with zeal, ready to take on the world to make it a better place.
