An attractive new option for accommodation is now available for visitors to Kaohsiung. The residence hall of the city's Labor Education Center has just been renovated with its rooms open to travelers at a rate of 500 NT dollars per night. And it has quickly become a hit with backpackers.

In recent years, the popularity of cycling along with Kaohsiung Harbor's special cycle path and new low-cost accommodations at the Kaohsiung City Department of Labor's Education Activity Center for less than 500 NT$ has already attracted lots of backpackers and cyclists.

Entering the reception, one sees the works of Wu Hsuan-san and Wang Ching-hsin as well as works depicting Shizhiwan and other tourist attractions.

In addition, the room for cyclists also provides a rack for bicycles so there is no need to worry about bike theft. There are also free washing machines and drying racks for public use.

Currently, the center provides 76 rooms with convenient transportation with a 60% accommodation rate on most days and 80% over the weekends and holidays.

While it may not be as comfortable as luxurious hotels, this center provides secure, inexpensive and convenient rooms when it may be hard to find a room during this winter vacation.
