Allergic And Asthma Cases on the Rise
The temperature varies greatly during night and day, leading to more allergy and asthma cases at children's clinics. And what can you do as parents? Doctors say putting facemasks on them when they first wake up in the morning
can prevent the little ones from breathing in the cold air directly, lowering their chance of getting stuffy nose.
Recently, the difference of temperatures between night and day is drastic of more than 10 degrees Celsius sometimes, which caused many children to suffer from allergies.
Usually, autumn and winter seasons saw the most cases of nose allergies and asthma young patients that is 20 to 30% more than usual.
Those children who are more prone to allergies would sneeze often and have runny and stuffy nose.
Some would pick their nose until they bleed because they could not stand the itching.
Doctors remind the parents not to mistaken the symptoms as common cold, those children showing rapid breathing and out of breath conditions should seek medical treatment.
It is better to see a specialist to check out if the children are with allergic body to pin point the problem.
In the meantime, it is suggested that they wear facemask in the morning after getting out of bed to avoid breathing in cold air to lower the allergic symptoms.
