Hottest Job in Town
Even with the increase of flights between Taiwan and the mainland, the aviation industry continues to be extremely competitive. A recent opening of 20 positions for flight attendants drew in more than 1,000 applicants, with many coming with a handful of skills.
These applicants are all here for the recruitment of Mandarin Airlines.
They are all highly educated people from all majors including nursing or even medical master graduates, and they are all around the age of 25.
They are here, mostly for the relatively high pay, which starts from 40 to NT$50,000.
Many also come from other places just to get their foot into the exciting and seemingly well-paid flight attendant business.
But then, there are also others who have this as their dream and gave up their highly paid jobs just to have a go at this.
Even though there's only 2% of possibility of getting recruited, many have gathered here in Taichung hoping to be the new faces of Mandarin Airlines.
