Although during the match, Cheng fell on the court after suffering from an old leg injury, she still managed to snatch the championship
It was this shot that called to the end of the game, with Taiwanese player Cheng Shao-chieh beating her South Korean competitor two years in a row.
Cheng throws down her racket and immediately falls to the ground in tears.
With the help of her trainer, her tears of pain turned to tears of joy.
She returns her gratitude, after receiving the crowd's loud applause and recognition.
Tying the score of 1-1 after two games, Cheng started to feel the intense pain from an old leg injury during the final game, with her almost unable to walk.
Using every method possible to remind herself to keep going,
she forced herself not to give up, successfully defending her side of the court.
Even with an injury, she is able to repeat as a champ, proudly holding the trophy for Taiwan once again.
