MAN RESCUED FROM RUBBLE AFTER 100 HRS
An 18-year-old victim has been found alive, 100 hours after the earthquake struck the eastern part of the country. The young individual is now in the hospital, and is reported to be doing okay.
The 7.2-magnitude quake rocked one of the poorest regions in Turkey on Sunday, causing the lives of more than 520 people, while injuring thousands. Hundreds are still missing at this point.
Over 185 people have been pulled out of the rubble, as the emergency workers fight against time to carry out the rescue mission. Israel has since sent prefabricated homes to assist the quake victims, while Britain has pledged that they will provide more than 5,500 tents.
