6.8 EARTHQUAKE STRUCK INDIA
A magnitude-6.8 earthquake struck India's mountainous north region near the Nepal border Sunday evening, killing at least 16 and injuring dozens of people. Rescue efforts have been hampered due to the heavy rains and the landslides in the area.
The powerful quake was also felt in Bangladesh and Bhutan.
