12 MILLION PPL IN NEED OF HELP
The hunger crisis in East Africa is intensifying with twelve million people now desperately in need of help. The United Nations has declared a famine in parts of Somalia, and has called for aid from other nations. Thousands of people are fleeing from their home each week to refugee camps in Ethiopia and Kenya in search of food, water and shelter.
In addition, close to half a million children are at risk of dying from malnutrition and disease. The worst drought in north-east Africa for 60 years, has caused more chaos to the region, which has been without the rule of a national government since 1991. Relief organizations are requesting for any kind of assistance they can get at this moment.
