According to the latest CNN poll, most Americans, 63 percent of them, want the super committee to increase taxes on higher-income individuals and businesses, while 36 percent of the people are disagreeing. 57 percent say that the committee should also come up with a proposal that includes major cuts in domestic spending. As for the spending in defense, 47 percent want the committee to cut down on the military spending, while 53 percent don't find it necessary to save money in that area. 　　Surprisingly, two-thirds say no to major changes to Social Security and Medicare, and nearly 90 of people don't want the government to up the taxes on middle class and lower income families.
