EXPERIENCE LINBIEN TO THE FULLEST
To revitalize the tourism industry in Pingtung's Linbien after being struck by Typhoon Morakot in 2009, the government has launched a bus tour, which will give visitors an opportunity to explore the community. In addition, the move has sparked cultural workers to establish programs to cater to people who want to fully experience their culture and lifestyle.
The local industry in Linbien area has become weak after Typhoon Morakot hit the area years ago. Therefore, cultural workers decided to lead the public into a local tour in order to help revive the local community.
People can choose to ride their bikes to visit the solar power zone that will be established in the future, the fish raising area, and the factory that produces fishing nets.
There will be a tour guide who brings the tourists to experience fish capturing with fishing nets and cooking with earth ovens along the coast.
So far, similar tours have been arranged for two times, and the cultural workers are planning to hold different tours based on various themes on a regular basis.
