CHOU TALKS ABOUT BALANCING LIFE AND WORK
First Lady Christine Chou is joining in on the effort by attending a campaign in promoting a healthy working environment in Taiwan.
Chou is asking the business owners to go easy on their employees by not overworking them, while stressing the importance of balancing life and work.
Different institutions put their names on the written promise to support family value by taking such action.
First lady Christine Chou also went on to the stage and received flowers from children, where she hugged and interacted with the kids.
Unlike other business owners or government officials who sat on the first row, she continued her low-profile manner by choosing a window seat on the second row next to children.
When it comes to the long working hours of Taiwanese labor workers and the difficulty of maintaining a normal family life, she leads a campaign to tackle the problem, hoping government officials and business leaders to join her effort in creating a working environment that values family life.
