Only one out of 14 visitors were lucky enough to check out the Pavilion of Dreams, which is indeed considered as one of the hottest spots at the Flora Expo. Although the event came to a close this past Monday, the Pavilion of Dreams will only be temporarily shut down for maintenance.

The Taipei City Government is looking to preserve the attraction and re-open it for the public this summer, for those who didn't get a chance to see it the first time around.

The huge mechanical flowers stretching from the roof of the Pavilion of Dreams, and the performers who gracefully played the crystal ball are the reason that the pavilion is the most popular one among the 14 pavilions at the Flora Expo.

The Pavilion of Dreams has attracted over 630,000 visitors during the past 6 months. It doesn't have the most visitors, but it is definitely the most popular one, because only one among 14 visitors get to enter the pavilion, while many others are willing to start lining up for the ticket at 4 a.m.

Through five latest technologies developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, including the ultra thin speaker and the RFID technology built in visitors' bracelets, the Pavilion of Dreams hopes to lead its visitors to experience the changes brought by technology.

Also, to help visitors enjoy their tour in the pavilion, the guides became very important in explaining the technology used in the pavilion, and helping visitors to experience the interactive and sensor technologies. As the Flora Expo comes to an end, some workers in the pavilion cried.

Still, Taipei City mayor Hau Lung-bin promised that the Pavilion of Dreams will be reopened during the summer, to welcome more visitors to experience the beauty of it.
