DPP STARTS NATIONAL OPINION POLL
Starting Monday, the DPP conducts a two-day national opinion poll that will decide the party's official nominee for the presidential election next year.
And the results are scheduled to be announced on April 27th if everything goes as planned.
It is expected to be a tight race between the two frontrunners, Chairperson Tsai Ing-wen and former premier Su Tseng-chang, and the outcome is likely to be decided by a difference of less than 3 percentage points, well within the statistical margin of error. But the party has stated that even if the final result only shows a tiny difference of 0.01 percent, the winner will still secure the nomination.
