COME ENJOY FLORAL SEASON
The annual YangMingShan floral season kicked off on Friday.
Due to the continuous cold fronts hitting Taiwan, cherry blossoms are blooming slower.
It is expected that they won't fully bloom until a few weeks into the floral season.
Traffic control also started, making public transportation methods the better and easier way to go up the mountain to see the flowers.
The pink cherry blossoms attracted many people to take the whole family up the mountains to view the sea of flowers, though it is drizzling, many still took pictures of the beautiful scenery.
Because of the cold winter this year, with many cold fronts hitting Taiwan, the yang Ming Shan floral season opened 2 weeks later than usual.
About 40% of the cherry blossoms, azaleas and peonies are all slowly blooming.

It is expected that more than 1 million people will go up the mountain to visit.
During the event, traffic control will be strictly enforced, with the public advised to take public transportation to avoid the weekend traffic and to save money, not to mention it would part of the effort to reduce carbon emission.
