INTENSE PULSED LIGHT TREATMENTS RISKY?
Many ladies are turning to intense pulsed light treatments for smoother skin, but a recent case involving a woman who suffered from burns on her face after she received five sessions, is now raising concerns among the public. Experts say that there is still risk involved, depending on the skills of the doctors who control the appropriate level of the light, and the machines that are used.
The doctor use the pigskin to demonstrate how photoneumatic therapy treatment won't harm the skin, however, a woman in New Taipei city received several of such treatment only to have scars left on her face as if she's been whipped.
The doctor said that, machine from China or Korea may not be easily controlled and the patient would run into the risk of getting their skin burned.
The qualified doctor showed us the correct way for the treatment and found out that it is different from laser spot treatment, which focuses on one single spot instead of the whole area.
Therefore, the cheaper treatment is still with risk and could ruin ones skin if the treatment method is incorrect.
