Tour Around the Island on Foot
A young man from Yunlin took 46 days walking around the island on foot, in hope to have an in-depth under
Mr. Chang is a university student that recently completed his military duty.
After being released from the military, he embarked on a walking tour around the island so that he could become better acquainted with himself and with Taiwan.
He departed from his hometown of Dounan in Yunlin on October 30th, and headed south along Provincial Highway No. 1.
After passing through Chiayi and Tainan, he rounded the southern tip of the island at Kenting and headed north to Taitung and Hualien.
Over the course of 46 days, Chang walked more than 1,000 kilometers, developed innumerable blisters, and wore out a pair of shoes.
Apart from expressing his gratitude to his family and friends for their encouragement, Chang also thanked the people he met along the way for their hospitality.
