Lu Launches Autobiography
Taiwanese sports star Lu Yen-hsun launched his first book, an autobiography, on Wednesday, which chronicles his ten-year journey in professional tennis. The soon-to-be-married athlete said that by sharing his own story, he hopes to inspire more young players to hold on to their dreams in times of adversity.
Two weeks ago, tennis star Lu Yen-hsun was forced to withdraw from the Guangzhou Asian Games due to injury. After returning to Taiwan, he made his first public appearance at a press conference for his new autobiography.
Lu will also be wedding his girlfriend of six years, Chien Chiong-wen, on Saturday.
At the press conference, Lu joked that preparing for his wedding was more exhausting than training and competing. His new wife will be accompanying him when he departs for Kenya, where he will be undergoing winter training, on Monday.
The 27-year old says that his primary focuses in the future will be family and tennis.
When asked about his plans for children, Lu said that he and his future wife would be waiting at least one year before trying to become parents.
