Award-winning Inventions
Taiwanese students are in the international spotlight once again. In the Nuremberg iENA exhibition, which displays over 800 inventions from 37 countries, the Taiwanese team has wowed the crowd, by snatching a total of 27 gold medals.
Inventors worldwide who work on development of new product ideas have gathered at the Nuremberg iENA, the "Ideas-Inventions-New Products" international trade fair.
As the participating country with the most inventions among all 37 countries, Taiwan has presented 98 works at the exhibition and has won 27 gold, 32 silver and 23 bronze medals.
Furthermore, not only specialists have presented their inventions, Taiwanese students have also played an important role in the exhibition.
The triangle caution sign designed by students from Erh Shing private high school, which glows automatically when exposed to light to make itself more attention grabbing, has won a silver medal at the group category.
Also, the fair presented a silver medal to the 8-year-old boy from Taiwan, Tsai Chi-Zhang, who invented swimming shorts that can prevent drowning.
Tsai's advisor, Xie Wen-Zhan said that young students should learn to put theory into practice with their creativity instead of memorizing facts only.
By presenting their latest inventive activities, young inventors in Taiwan will continue to amaze the world with their new ideas.
