Eight Immortals Legend
Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group is again to stage its latest work at National Theater Hall, proudly presenting "Royal Uncle Cao". This is their last work of the Eight Immortals series. Three generations of actors of the established performing group are showcasing together, making it even more powerful and unique.
Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group proudly presents Royal Uncle Cao, their latest work of the Eight Immortals series with modern stage technology, stage design and glamorous costumes. The new production is to provide audience a visual feast of traditional art.
After introducing Lee Tie-guai in the Eight Immortals series back in 1987, the eighth character Royal Uncle Cao has finally been played after 23 years.
The story is about the moral struggle of Royal Uncle Cao. He was a respectable man but was torn between his desire and what he believed to be right.
This is a story that is a great challenge for the actors.
Ming Hwa Yuan Arts and Cultural Group last performed at National Theater Hall three years ago.
This time it attempts to present Taiwanese opera in an ensemble.
With actors from three generations sharing a stage, this play, which is the last piece of the Eight Immortals series, will take you to the refined and magical land of Pong Lai.
