Lymphoma Awareness
The World Lymphoma Awareness Day occurs every year on September 15th, to educate us about the extremely common form of cancer in our society today.
The Hope Society for Cancer Care has list out the symptoms, and emphasizes that if one receives treatment early, the survival rate can be as high as 70 percent.
Seven years ago, Yeh Bei-chen, who was a graduate student, was diagnosed of lymphoma after seeing doctor for breathlessness.
He thought his life would return to normal when the treatment was over, but the cancer relapsed.
Fortunately, his condition has now been under control for five years.
In fact, lymphoma is one of the most complicated cancers in human beings.
It occurs often so harmlessly that it takes some time before you may realize that there is anything seriously wrong.
To raise awareness of the cancer, the Hope Society for Cancer Care provides a list of common symptoms, including fever, painless lump, itchiness, sweating, coughing and weight loss.
Patients with such symptoms should consult with doctors for early diagnosis, since the cure rate for early treatment can be as high as 70%.
