A Day to Remember
A radio station is doing something out of their good heart. They have set up a reunion event for Indonesian workers here in Taiwan, to give them a chance to see their families abroad. Although the gathering was short, it was indeed a touching moment.
Finally embracing her husband after two years of being separated by distance, Indonesian worker A-Shun's emotions took over and she broke into tears of joy.
This joyful moment is like a gift from heaven to these Indonesian workers, who never imagined that their loved ones would be able to come to Taiwan to visit them.
25-year-old Sally came to Taiwan two years ago to care for a grandmother who could only communicate in the local Taiwanese dialect.
Sally left her home and diligently studied the local Taiwanese dialect so that she could earn a decent living in Taiwan.
But now Taiwan has become a new and second home to these Indonesian workers, a visit from loved ones can provide a temporary relief from their homesickness.
