Largest Ghost Festival Ritual
Nankunshen Daitian Temple in Tainan is holding the largest ritual ever for the coming Ghost Festival, with 3,000 tables of food offerings. The temple will stay open throughout the entire ghost month and worshippers are welcome anytime.
This is probably the biggest Pudu event that Taiwan had ever seen.
The Nankushen Daition Temple of Tainan prepares more than 3,000 tables of foods for this year's Pudu.
Tables for sacrifices are seen all around the temple and the neighborhood.
The pray marked the beginning of the Pudu event in July of the lunar calender.
Let's take a look at the offerings, which include pork knuckles, snacks, and soda drinks.
To prevent the foods from spoiling in summertime, the temple administrator had ice cubes applied on them to keep the food cold.
Worshippers are packing the temple for good luck.
The paper money and sacrifices for the 3,000 tables have been loaded several times by huge trucks.
The temple administration says the establishment opens 24 hours during July of the lunar calender and welcomes worshippers to pray and check out the biggest Pudu event ever in Taiwan.
