We are seeing an increase of cosmetic surgeries recently, and now, women are even getting their feet "fixed" all in the name of fashion.

Local celebrity including Vivian Hsu went through the painful process, and now these procedures are becoming more and more prevalent. Although foot surgeries to correct bunions, and hammertoes may be necessarily in some circumstances, some ladies are doing it just for cosmetic purposes, from toe lengthening or shortening, to feet narrowing just to fit into that perfect pair of shoes.

However, doctors are warning the consequences that may result from these operations including a decrease in walking speed, a lack of ability to stand steadily or run.
