29-year-old Lin Chun-bao, who's the second generation of the Dai-yang-yuan hand puppet troupe, is the skillful master playing the big puppet on TV.
He believes the innovation of puppet show is unlimited.
Traditional numbers cannot satisfy younger puppet show artists.
In order to attract younger audience, famous cartoon characters are made into the show.
Even the hottest pop cultural sensation Paul the Octopus becomes one of the character.
Recognized by the state for his achievement, veteran artist Chen Hsi-yuang says the government doesn't do much about the survival of the art, despite all the talks.
The 80-year old master says that he worries much about the future of glove puppetry.
However, younger puppetry show artists say that it's hard to survive just by playing in festivals and temple fairs, they are seeking for changes, while hoping the government can support them to tour around at campus and help them attract a broader audience.
