Multiple disease outbreaks have been reported recently including 25 deaths in Indonesia caused by rabies, and 6,000 cases of measles in China this year alone. In Taiwan, the Japanese encephalitis is also at its peak season.

Residents and travelers are advised to get the proper vaccinations if necessary.

With the high number of disease being a major concern in both China and Indonesia, experts are suggesting to visit hospitals at least a month prior to traveling to those locations. Many major hospitals provide services and information regarding the needed vaccinations for countries abroad.

For example, the rabies vaccine, is comprised of five separate doses, meaning that time would be a factor in order for the vaccine to be fully effective.

And parents should also make sure their children are given the appropriate vaccination for the Japanese encephalitis.

According to the Centers for Disease Control,
