Antiperspirant Hazards
Antiperspirants can be bad for you. Theyve been reported to have caused medical shocks on those who overuse them. Doctors advise that, for safetys sake, it is better to limit their use on certain body parts only.
Away from air-conditioned rooms, it takes less than 10 minutes to get yourself drenched in sweat at this time of the year. For some, a simple solution to this problem is found in antiperspirants, but trying to control the bodily function of sweating can be dangerous.
For a sweat-free afternoon in the summer day, some put antiperspirant spray not just on armpits, but on the neck and even the back as well. Cases of medical shocks have been reported as a result, for the circulation system was having difficulties releasing body heat.
Doctors say that antiperspirants work by plugging the duct of sweat glands with aluminum-based compounds, and using them all over the body might raise the temperature to dangerous levels, causing heat exhaustion.
In conclusion, doctors advised that it would be safer to use antiperspirants only on certain body parts like armpits. And better control of ones diet and emotions may also help to reduce sweating.
