Theme Parks Safety
Summer is the peak season for amusement parks, but the safety of facilities there has become a concern especially after a fatal accident at a theme park in China earlier this week. And the Tourism Bureau vows that it will take all necessary actions to ensure the safety of vacationers around the island.
Whether is it the water slides or roller coasters, many students could not wait to enjoy them once school is out in June. This year, the Tourism Bureau is teaming up with major themed parks around the island with promotions of park admission discounts as low as 50% off.
Many of the parks also offer online printable coupons with the Bureau helping them to increase the sales revenue. Last month, passengers were stuck on the newly opened E-Dah world in Kaohsiungs Ferris wheel and this month, tragic deaths happened in China at an amusement park, faced with the peak season of themed park in summer, the parks in Taiwan are confident of the safety control.
The Bureau pointed out that, all park operators were asked to examine their rides completely, while local government paid unannounced visits to inspect the parks, all in the effort to allow the public to have a thrilling time safely.
