The stars of "John Carter," Taylor Kitsch, Willem Dafoe and Lynn Collins have recently walked the red carpet in Los Angeles to promote for their new film. 　　Based on a classic novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs, the film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter, who is accidently transported to Mars where he becomes parts of a conflict between various nations of the planet, whose leaders include Tars Tarkas played by Willem Dafoe and Princess Dejah Thoris played by Lynn Collins. As Carter realizes that the world of Mars is on the brink of collapse, he takes it upon himself to save its people from a growing threat. 　　Taylor Kitsch, who plays John Carter, a veteran of Civil War from Virginia, said that he admires the character of his role.As for actress Lynn Collins, playing Princess Helium and also a fierce fighter was a great challenge for her.After nearly one and a half year of production, the movie is hitting U.S. and Taiwan theaters on March 9.
