MICHAEL DOUGLAS BACK IN THE GAME
"Wall Street" star Michael Douglas is reportedly cured from his throat cancer, and is teaming up once again with gold legend Colin Montgomerie for the golf tournament in Scotland.
Douglas spent six months going through chemo and radiotherapy treatment after discovering that he had throat cancer last August.
Douglas is thrilled to be playing side by side with Montgomerie again, and being able to get back to the sport he loves.
"It's magical especially when I found out that I was going to be teamed up with -- with Colin and we played together in this event in 2005 when he won and he had a great great year (Montgomerie saying: "We won.") We won, oh I mean it was here the final day -- it was great. -- I am coming back, it's disappointing for me but the weather makes up for, then Colin is good company. It's a great events. It's a really really good event."
Having worked successfully in movies such as "The China Syndrome," "Fatal Attraction," and "The American President", Douglas has won three Golden Globes, two Academy Awards, including one for his role as money manipulator Gordon Gekko in "Wall Street".
