MURDOCH DENIED RESPONSIBILITY
Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch, was questioned by British lawmakers on whether they knew about phone hacking at the News of the World, while his son, James Murdoch was quizzed over his approval of at least 3.2 million U.S. dollars for privately paying out the victims of phone hacking. Rupert Murdoch has denied responsibility, while the younger Murdoch did most of the talking.
The younger Murdoch said that "all finance affairs are transparent and that he wasn't involved directly in the negotiations," meanwhile, their priority is to restore trust. In addition, Rebekah Brooks said, she has never paid a policeman herself. During the hearing, a man tossed shaving cream at Rupert Murdoch. The protester has since been arrested and Rupert Murdoch is unharmed.
