TW OPENS TO SOLO TOURISTS FROM CHINA
After the Free Independent Travelers program for Chinese visitors took effect last week, the first batch of solo tourists from the mainland arrived yesterday at four airports across the island.
A total of 273 Chinese tourists from Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen are visiting Taiwan this time and have received warm welcome from local representatives. Some of them showed strong interest in the night markets while others said they will spend time seeking real estate investment opportunities in Taipei and Taichung.
