HEAT STROKE PATIENTS ON A RISE
In Kaohsiung Municipal Ta-Tung Hospital, hundreds of patients have been reported to experience heat stroke symptoms this month alone, including nausea and dizziness.
Doctors are reminding people to drink plenty of water, and prevent going in and out of office constantly because of the drastic change of temperature.
The air-conditioned rooms can slow down the body from dissipating sweat, which can potentially lead to hyperthermia.
Medical experts are also advising people to seek professional help if one suffers from back pain, fever or frequent urination, because it may be signs of heat stroke.
