Taiwan's foster care program has given many children a second chance to live a normal life over the past years, and now more and more people are contributing to the program in helping those who need a loving home.

Here on CTS, let's have a look at the stories of the foster parents, who are dedicated in making a difference.

Influenced by her parents, Mrs. Xiulan decided to join the effort of offering foster family care to help children to grow. Saying that she was touched by her parents' experiences, she wants to dedicate herself to taking care of mentally or physically abused children.

But the journey was not as smooth as she imagined.

With her patience, she gradually saw the changes of children and finds a great sense of achievement in doing what she does.

Over the 18 years, she and her parents have successfully helped accommodate 10 foster children.

Currently, Taiwan Fund for Children and Family has been recruiting families to join the effort of providing foster family cares. In the past 12 months, the organization has recruited 27 families in offering such service and it hopes to see more families to provide love and warmth to children in need.
