Alarming Health Facts
To the survey released by the Bureau of Health Promotion, around 80 percent of office workers lack exercise, and around half of the male employees are considered overweight. Experts are suggesting people to get out of their seat to stretch or to walk around, while maintaining a regular exercise routine to avoid health issues in the future.
Many officer workers are under tremendous amount of pressure and would sit in front of the computer screen all day without taking breaks others than going to the bathroom.
Many of them would forget to get up and move around to loosen up the muscles.
According to the latest survey from the the Health Bureau, the labor force work is over 50 hour weeks.
Looking at the standard of 150 minutes of workout time per week, 35% of the people do not workout at all and, overall, 80% of the people don't get enough exercise.
50% of the men are overweight, while only 19% of the females are overweight.
It is a disturbing result.
Since most people work long hours and don't eat regularly, paired with lack of time to exercise, office workers are easily to have obesity problems.
It is suggested that those working in the office to get up and walk around every 30 minutes or so, rest the eyes and exercise the muscles to ensure a healthy body.
