All-male Dance Troupe
After an acclaimed performance in China earlier this year, Taiwan's first all-male dance troupe "Horse Dance Theater" is back with their latest work, which is a thought-provoking piece that explores the nature of existence.
Through music, the dancers establish a connection between their body and the surrounding noises.
The three male dancers on stage demonstrate their journey through self discovery, using their body to prove their existence.
This creative dance routine is performed by Taiwan's first all-male dance troupe.
In creating their new piece in 2010,
The troupe was formed by the director of Tainan Jen Theater, Tsia Baizhang and movie actor Huang Jiang-wei.
The two went through intensive training for this performance, every day enduring two hours of ballet training in the morning and doing creative brainstorming and rehearsals in the afternoon.
The two say that although this is the most difficult project they've embarked on, it is also the most interesting experience they've had.
The three troupe members together explore within themselves and their own existence through interacting through the performance.
And with their powerful moves and surrounding music, the dancers put on a spectacular performance of strength for their audience.
