Tight Sleep for Infants
Many parents purchase infant pillows or mattresses in the hope that their newborns could sleep well at night, but these products may often cause respiratory difficulties. According to doctors, it's better for infants to sleep on their backs in environments as simple as possible.
New parents often have their infants sleeping in a variety of positions so that they can grow up with pleasing head shapes.
A high percentage of consumers also purchase specialty infant pillows and mattresses that manufacturers claim help infants sleep through the night.
However, the height and depth of these pillows can cause acid reflux and even respiratory difficulties in infants.
According to doctors, the best sleeping position for infants is on their backs.
In the interest of a simpler sleep environment, some even recommend that infants should sleep without pillows.
